Kiss Summer Goodbye

For many of us, summer is our favorite season - but alas, it does come to a yearly end. So, it’s only right that we bid it farewell in style. LipSense distributor, Dorothy Romines, decided to do just that with a Kiss Summer Goodbye LipSense Party. She wanted to have a tropical themed party, since the name of her company is Hula Kisses, but since she lives on the mainland, not many tropical blooms were readily available.

Her solution? She found that she could mix tropical elements with traditional summer floras found in neighborhood supermarkets. For example, she picked tropical type leaves from her garden, such as ferns and Aralia, and she combined them with summer blooms, such as lilies, Gerber daisies, and roses to put in elegant and eye-catching vases. She also made a whimsical vase by hallowing out a pineapple (using its fruit in a fruit salad) and filling it with summer floras and wildflowers for an island style arrangement.

Guests feasted on a casual, but enticing buffet, which included pulled pork; Hawaiian rolls; tropical and summer fruit and veggies; pasta salad; and pinwheel wraps. Of course, tropical flavored wines were served for spirits.

While taking a break from nibbling on the fares at the buffet table, the ladies sampled an array of 36 LipSense colors as intoxicating as the hula. LipSense is the current trending long-lasting lip color that’s kiss proof, smudge proof, and waterproof, lasting four to 18 hours. It’s also high quality and super moisturizing. If you’re new to LipSense, a starter kit, which includes lipcolor, gloss, and remover, is highly recommended. Using another brand of gloss cannot guarantee the longevity of the color.

Many of the women who attended the party engage in activities (such as dance competitions, performing arts, upcoming weddings, and demanding careers that require a lot of social interaction) in which they can benefit from what LipSense offers. They enjoyed catching up with each other as they mixed colors to create new and different lip shades. A few of the women also admitted they have become LipSense addicts after sampling and experiencing the colors for themselves.

There was also a drawing for a special prize that would be given at the end of the party. Instead of providing paper, lemon leaves from the garden were used so guests could write their names. They then dropped it into a wooden bowl, where the name of the winner would be drawn.

At the end of the night, the ladies truly kissed the summer goodbye in long lasting colorful style and were ready to say aloha to a dynamic fall.
