Imagine that you are out in nature, walking down a peaceful forest path. You are calm and comfortable, and it is a beautiful day….
In Western culture, we strive to experience the above scenario, more often than not, but we seem to be constantly on the go with appointments and obligations. Oftentimes, we remain coherent but not profoundly aware of our behaviors. Through meditation, we become deeply relaxed, focusing our thought on only one stimulus, which allows us to access our subconscious mind - the root source of attitude, motivation, and emotion.
During meditation, our brainwaves resonate within slower frequencies of the alpha state. In contrast, daily life centers on beta frequencies, which cycle at a much higher rate. Meditation lowers these frequencies, resulting in the alpha state, where we are physically and mentally relaxed, although aware of our surroundings. It is in this alpha state that our ability to visualize and imagine are greatly enhanced, providing us with the opportunity to elicit positive change.
However, for change to occur, one is required to visualize and use creative imagination because imagination is the key to growth. As Einstein stated, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
We invite you to take this guided visualization journey with us, and begin your adventure towards personal transformation. In this post, we’ve provided a small sample of our recorded guided meditation for you to experience in the comforts of your own surroundings. So, take a deep cleansing breath, quiet your mind, and allow yourself to journey through a tranquil nature setting, leading to a serene lagoon where you experience deep relaxation, while bathing in the ocean’s gentle waves and the radiant light of the moon.
